Q. Can I shop and purchase online?

A. Hotel Surplus Outlet does not have a "web storefront" or automated online shopping program due to the nature of our goods, and the highly variable costs and logistics for packing and shipping. We do not normally offer "turn key" packing and shipping as a part of the purchase process. Because of our ever-changing inventory, and the wide array of liquidated hotel goods which we carry, it is hard to provide true online shopping and check-out, but if you email or call us, we can explain our sales procedures and shipping arrangements (see additional shipping-related FAQ's below).

Q. Do you publish catalogs, inventory listings, or price lists?

A. We do not publish any catalogs or comprehensive price lists for our goods. This is because we are liquidators, and our product selections and quantities are constantly subject to change. Prospective customers will do best to review the goods represented on the website, and use them as a reference point for inquiries. The website usually represents the best indication of the current styles, although some variations may be present at our location. Call or email us with your needs, style and budget and we will try to respond accordingly.

Q. What forms of payment do you accept?

A. At our store location we accept Cash, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover cards. We also can process most debit and check card transactions. We do not accept personal checks. Wholesale and corporate buyers should contact us to request approval of company checks, and/or any other proposed payment methods.

Q. Do you have any other branches or outlets?

A. Please note that Hotel Surplus Outlet has only one location at 16625 Saticoy Street, Van Nuys, California. (We are centrally located in the San Fernando Valley just north of Los Angeles.

Q. Are you open to the public?

A. We are open to the public at our Van Nuys, California facility, and we have no minimum purchase requirements.

Q. Does the website show all of your goods?

A. Our web site is intended to be a reasonable sampling of the typical items that we have in our current inventory. We attempt to keep it current, but our goods often come and go in a quite a flurry! We have many more unique and interesting items in small quantities at our store location. We always have a wide range of other goods in stock so please call us or send us an email if you have a special need or request.

Q. Do you offer wholesale or bulk purchase deals to the hospitality industry?

A. We are an excellent furnishings and fixture resource for lodging and hospitality properties, and we welcome inquiries on a bulk purchase basis. We can provide prices for complete room packages on a discounted basis. On a wholesale basis, we are able to supply lodging properties and wholesale buyers with furnishings over a wide region, both nationally and internationally. Q. Do you offer local delivery?

A. We do not operate our own local delivery services, but we have referrals to reliable local delivery services. All items are sold f.o.b. our warehouse, and delivery and/or shipping is at buyer's expense. However, buyers are welcome to use their own delivery resources. We can also hold purchases on short term "will call" for later pick up by a service or method of the buyer's choosing. We will assist with the pick up and loading of goods at our location.

Q. Do you offer shipping to out-of-state or distant locations?

A. We encourage all inquiries from interested buyers, but we do not offer packing and shipping as a standardized part of the sale process. You are welcome to explore shipping options, but please bear in mind that your location and related shipping issues may greatly impact the practicality and ultimate cost of your potential purchase. For homeowners and individuals outside of our region, shipping and home delivery costs may be quite significant, especially for small orders. If you are a retail buyer in a distant location, we regret to tell you that the shipping and home delivery expense may negate the bargain virtues of many of our goods. We do not wish to discourage any interested buyers, but we prefer to be candid about these issues in advance. As an alternative, buyers are encouraged to find their own shipping, or freight services that can pick up their goods at our Van Nuys, California location and handle the shipping and delivery to their location. Your local moving, freight or trucking resources may offer furniture moving or "blanket wrap" services that meet your needs.

Q. Are these items warrantied or returnable?

A. Most of our items are used goods acquired in our liquidations of hotel inventories, and these goods are resold in an "as-is" basis These goods are sold on a final sale basis.
